Professor SHI Dingxu is Interim Head and Chair Professor of Chinese Linguistics at the Department of Chinese & Bilingual Studies, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
His areas of scholarship include Chinese linguistics, syntax and semantics, language contact and language change, teaching Chinese to non-native speakers.
He teaches Description of Chinese I: Words and Sentences, and Topics in Studies of Chinese Grammar.
