The Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities is a body of scholars dedicated to defending, promoting and advancing the study of the humanities in Hong Kong. We rely on the active involvement of Fellows who volunteer to serve on the Executive Committee, support our AGM and Winter Gathering, nominate new Fellows, and review first book prize submissions. We need your collective help and ideas to accomplish our Academy mission!

Contribute to our News section

Our new website features a News section. The section is conceived as an immediate, accessible and cost-effective way of achieving a key mission objectives, which is “to provide a platform for information-sharing, discussion and publicity on all matters and events of importance to the humanities in Hong Kong.”

We invite all Fellows to volunteer their time, talent, and skills to make this News section successful. We hope that they will consider contributing to the News section by, for instance:

• agreeing to be interviewed,

• talk about their current research,

• discuss work that excites them, or 

• tell us what they have been doing since they retired or left Hong Kong for another post.

We see the News section as a means of staying in touch with the whole scholarly community.
