This News section is a proposed new feature of the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities website. It is conceived as a platform to make the Academy more immediate and accessible not only to fellows at different stages of their academic career but to humanities scholars working across disciplines and universities in Hong Kong.
Junior Fellow observers have been pro-active in suggesting the versatile uses of this News section in providing a synopsis of the latest research output by fellows, interviews with individual members on current work that excites them, and a means of staying in touch with overseas or retired fellows. These various functions will help us achieve a key mission of “providing a vehicle for information-sharing and dissemination, discussion and debate among scholars on all matters of importance and concern to the humanities in Hong Kong.”
